CSRE: Computerized Speech Research Environment
CSRE (pronounced "Caesar") is a comprehensive, easy-to-use and affordable speech
processing system for the PC. CSRE is a DOS-based program that most customers
run on Windows 98 or 95 Pentium machines. The system supports CD-quality data
acquisition and playback, speech editing, analysis, and synthesis on the PC, using
your choice of high-quality, widely-available audio hardware.
Developed over the past decade by a team of internationally-recognized experts,
CSRE accommodates the varied needs of speech scientists, speech-language pathologists,
phoneticians, otolaryngologists and engineers. Customers in more than 50 countries
use CSRE daily, in a wide variety of settings and for many different applications.
Using a speech system has never been easier: our users report that CSRE's interface
is intuitive and easy-to-learn. Many productivity tools have been incorporated
to let experienced users work better and faster than ever before. A product review
in the journal Ear and Hearing (June 1995) said,
| "A novice user ... should rapidly master the fundamentals
of CSRE and be able to digitize, analyze and modify a stimulus set, construct
an experimental sequence, and collect data within a very short period of
time. CSRE is an attractive software package, either as a basic self-contained
package or as a tool for teaching the principles of acoustic data analysis
and synthesis." (Ear & Hearing Review, June, 1995). |
