Listen-Hear is organized as a series of "modules" that target a wide variety a spoken language skills.

The first modules help the child learn about basic properties of sound soon after receiving a cochlear implant or hearing aid. Other early modules build on these skills to help children learn other spoken language features, such as syllable patterning and the pitch and amplitude variations that convey intonation.

Later modules assist in the discrimination and identification of individual speech sounds, in vocabulary development, in the acquisition of language concepts and in helping children to hear common errors of pronunciation that are associated with "deaf speech".
